Louise Cusack was born in suburban Brisbane in the sixties of Irish immigrant ancestry. Her earliest memory is of watching Armstrong walk on the moon.
After leaving school she worked a variety of office jobs, partied and spent weekends at the beach. In her twenties she became involved with Animal Liberation which was her passion until she stopped working and stayed home to raise children and fulfil her own childhood ambition to become a writer. Her education was resumed as a mature-aged student at the University of Queensland where she studied Philosophy as a part-time undergraduate.
After ten years of writing, Louise's first novel "Destiny of The Light" was published by Simon & Schuster Australia in June 2001, first book of the "Shadow Through Time" fantasy trilogy. Louise currently lives in south east Queensland, writes and parents full-time, is a vegetarian, teetotaller and self-confessed sci-fi nut.
