Kelley Eskridge was born in Florida in 1960. She's had a low volume but high impact career in short fiction since the early 1990's. Her work has been a finalist for the Nebula and Tiptree Awards, won the Astraea Award, been collected in The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror, and adapted for television.
She has hosted a syndicated radio program, crewed on more than a hundred live television sports and entertainment broadcasts, delivered flowers, built stage sets, and performed guerilla theatre in a bikers' bar. Most recently, she worked as Vice President of Project Management at Wizards of the Coast (publisher of trading card games and role-playing games, including Magic, Pokemon and Dungeons & Dragons). She left Wizards in 2000 to begin writing full-time.
She lives in Seattle with her partner, Nicola Griffith, a life full of writing, beer, great food, conversation, and as much joy as they can both squeeze into any given day.
