  About the author  

Eileen Kernaghan lives in New Westminster, British Columbia. She is a member of the "Lonely Cry" group of west coast Canadian speculative writers. Her latest fantasy novel, The Snow Queen (Thistledown Press, 2000), won the 2001 Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Award, the Aurora, for best novel in English.

Eileen's poems and short stories have appeared in many North American publications, both mainstream and speculative. She is one-fifth of the poetry group Quintet, who recently published their first collection, Quintet: Themes & Variations (Ekstasis Editions).
