Dian Curtis Regan is the author of more than 40 books for young readers, ranging from picture books (Chance) to young adult novels (Princess Nevermore). More than a million copies of her books are in print.
Originally from Colorado, she has also lived in Texas and Oklahoma, and spent three years living in Venezuela before moving to Kansas in 2001.
In 1993, she was named "Member of the Year" by the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She has been inducted into the Oklahoma Professional Writers Hall of Fame, and has received a "Distinguished Medal of Service in Children's Literature" from the Oklahoma Center for Poets and Writers.
Dian has published fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in many children's magazines and has written on assignment for Writers Digest, Byline, and Scholastic Scope.
