Lars Walker was born in 1950 in Faribault, Minnesota, grew up in Kenyon, Minnesota, and is a graduate of Augsburg College in Minneapolis.

Mister Walker worked as a crab meat packer in Alaska, a singer, a radio announcer and a gas station attendant, and he currently does clerical, graphic and writing work for his church body. He is single.
